Rezension: „Der Highbrow-Award für Dezember geht an Gerald Fiebig & Stephan Barcsay. Ersterer ist Soundartist, der Zweite Gitarrenvirtuose im Bereich Klassik und zeitgenössische Musik. Wie zwei Gehirnhälften setzen sie ein Megabrain-Album aus Gitarrenklassik und Elektroakustik zusammen: »cetacea« (Digitalalbum | gebrauchtemusik.bandcamp.com). Ein Live-Mitschnitt der Uraufführung im Kulturhaus abraxas (Oktober 2020): vier Kompositionen für Gitarre und elektroakustisches Zuspiel. Das Ergebnis ist dabei überraschend: Drone-Stuff wie von Windy & Carl, dann Quiet Music und Minimalklang. Das titelgebende »Cetacea« schließlich – so der zoologische Fachname für Wale – arbeitet mit Field-Recordings, Walaufnahmen und subtilen Soundart-Interventionen. »Echos of Industry III« greift mit dem Motiv des Augsburger Gaswerks Industriegeschichte in Industrialklängen, Noise-Impro und Word-Samples auf.“ – Martin Schmidt in „a3kultur“ (Dezember 2020)

This sound installation connected the dates of the Lehman Brothers crash and the 550th birthday of early capitalist banker Jakob Fugger through a sonic interpretation of the stock market index, accompanied by visuals by Eric Zwang-Eriksson. / Diese Klanginstallation verknüpfte das Datum des Lehman-Brothers-Crash mit dem 550. Geburtstag des frühkapitalistischen Bankers Jakob Fugger und wurde begleitet von einem Video von Eric Zwang-Eriksson.
